This page explains how to request deletion of your Whole Battery Catalog account and the personal data associated with it. The Whole Battery Catalog mobile app is currently published on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store by Smartville Inc., an affiliate of Whole Battery Catalog Inc. ("WBC"). WBC operates the marketplace and controls your user data, and processes all deletion requests at 1495 Poinsettia Ave, Suite 146, Vista, CA 92081, United States. How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data, email privacy@wholebatterycatalog.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete Account Request".

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and complete processing within 45 days, extendable once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.130). If we cannot verify your identity using your account email, we may request additional verification (such as a government-issued ID), which is used solely to verify the request and deleted within 30 days of verification.

What Data Is Deleted

Deletion covers all personal information we hold about you across our systems, including:

• Account profile: name, email, phone number, username, password hash
• Saved shipping and billing addresses; tokenized payment references held with Stripe
• Marketplace listings, cart contents, and saved preferences
• Battery test history and diagnostic data tied to your account (V1 and V2 Periscope data)
• Device and session identifiers, IP logs, and error telemetry associated with your account
• Support communications and in-app messages

Where personal information has been shared with a service provider (such as Stripe, AWS, PostHog, or Google reCAPTCHA), we will direct that provider to delete it to the extent required by law.

What Data Is Retained (and Why)

• Transaction records required for tax, accounting, and audit compliance, retained for up to 7 years as required by U.S. federal and California state law.
• Deidentified battery test data may be retained for product safety, warranty, and research purposes. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to ensure this data cannot be reassociated with you, we publicly commit not to attempt re-identification, and we contractually require any third party receiving this data to maintain it in deidentified form (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140(m)).
• Data subject to legal hold: records required to comply with a court order, subpoena, or ongoing legal matter will be retained until the obligation is discharged.
• Fraud prevention records: minimal records of banned accounts may be retained to prevent re-registration by bad actors.

No Retaliation

We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your right to deletion (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.125).

What Happens After Deletion

Once your deletion is processed, you will lose access to the Whole Battery Catalog mobile app, marketplace, order history, and any Periscope subscriptions tied to your account. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account; you must submit a deletion request. You may re-register in the future with the same email address, but prior data will not be restored.

Deleting Data Without Deleting Your Account

If you would like to delete specific categories of personal information without closing your account, email privacy@wholebatterycatalog.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and specify what you would like removed. You may also exercise other rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a deletion request on your behalf. We will require written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you directly to verify the request.
